Obviously your call, and I don't know what your personality is like outside of the forum, but if you have a great tradeskill like factory welding, I'd pursue that instead. Industrial artists are handy to have around. :P |
well, everyone is telling me i should do it because i'm a talker, and i always try to get my way, NOW. and i love money. it kinda makes sense, i guess i'm just not at all used to working in something other than dirty jeans, a work shirt, and a helmet. when i walked into the office building and had the interview, it was.. surreal almost.
i'm mainly concerned that the far more secure and lucrative (at the moment) job that i JUST got 2 weeks ago (weld inspector) is the better choice than the risky, possibly massive fail current job prospect. but man i am SICK of working with right-wing nutjob blue collars, waking up at 4am, working 18 hours of mandatory overtime weekly, being physically and mentally tired and dirty all the time, etc. that and i don't want to work industrial shit forever- it's not safe, it's hazardous to my health, and most importantly, it's not what i'm going to school for. so i was thinking a sales associate or whatever would look good on a resume that's pretty much packed with factory experience.
i suppose we'll just see if they even call me back anyways. after the interview today, i have my doubts.
edit: btw, the company has been around for over 13 years, and has HQ in the UK, chicago, and locations in like, oregon, here in wi, and a couple other states. at first i thought it was a scam (they called me randomly kinda) so i was skeptical but the place is legit.
