a lot of places send out their reports now, they just use an audio recording and send it to some company that transcribes medical reports. Not sure how this helps you but you should just work at a hospital that has this service. | It doesn't work like that.
We get referrals from psychiatrists or doctors. After that we meet them then need to evaluate them. Basically ask a shit load of questions about the person's life. Then do a couple of standardized tests and some physical tests (how much can they carry, can they touch the tip of my pen and then their nose - for eye-hand coordination) Fine /gross motor stuff.
THEN they can begin the intervention process after we evaluate and see what areas in occupation they need help with. Also, these are billed services (evaluations and interventions) so I don't know how someone can send this out and have someone transcribe them. Depending on the insurance company, one may have to send it the same day they are evaluated! My place isn't billed since it is not-for-profit... but it's real practice.
