I love how people can so blatantly spend all day on fucking Facebook, but can't take two seconds to respond to an event invite. Ugh.

Because event invites are the most useless things in the world that no one checks. I get at least 10 to 15 a day.

For something like that, pick up a phone or at least send a text. Don't expect people to make an effort for an impersonal thing like a facebook invite. It's lazy and doesn't make anyone feel invited to anything.

It's actually the easiest way to communicate with everyone as a group and reach a consensus. We all have different schedules, some have kids, and everyone lives in a different part of town. We always make event pages for stuff like this to ensure everyone can be accommodated (or most everyone, at least). It has nothing to do with being impersonal and everything to do with practicality.
