I was thinking of placing it on some bricks or wooden elements. First I'll have to see the whole desk and decide if it's really what I want. Thanks btw for the info on the desk. Might head over to Officecentre soon. What did it cost you approximately? Maybe you have any other pics of that deck in full to get an even better impression?

@ trance speeder : Thnx. This after I cleaned the place I really need to redecorate the room...first building a custom table.
And the effects? You mean the EFX500 ?
@ Farris : No problem taking a picture. You also going to work at the desk?

Tegu,
I have a pair of Mackie 824s and they (Mackie) said that if I were to place the monitors horizontally, I should have the sub part on the insides (i.e. reverse of the way you have them).
Just an FYI... not sure if that would apply to other monitors/speakers as well?

Actually you're supposed to place them this way according to the manual. I actually had them reversed, like you said, when I first placed them horizontally, but now after switching to woofer out the sound is MUCH better. Thanks for the concern, though!

Yup...the usual school stuff and gonna be using it for producing too hopefully (at least try to produce something ). I want to use the long side for my decks and stuff and ths shorter side for my computer. Just like you have it. At this moment I have my computer on one side of the room and my decks etc. on the other side. It's more convenient to have them close to eachother
It just feels more comfortable when having a large desk to work on instead of a crammed little thing. I like this desk because it's wide and long.
Might get this one or maybe just build a custom one myself that has this one's features.

If you look close enough at the right speaker stand you can see it going down to the ground.
