My brother just resigned and is off to Europe for 3 months on the 15th of June. He's been talking about doing it but I expected him to take a career break soon and go later in the year. Crazy that he just resigned and is off so soon!
Good on him though. 28 years old, really keen to go to Europe for a bit and travel, catch up with people and just blow off a bit of steam. He's been far too overworked recently and he's put on weight so it's not good for his health. He's also parted with his current team on good terms and the company is happy to find him a new position when he gets back. Pretty good situation really.
I'll look forward to catching up with him in Croatia in July then. Now that he's gone, it makes me feel a step closer to moving back to Europe too

Where are you going to move to? I vaguely remember you saying London?

London is the plan but I'm more and more willing to relocate to some other major EU cities like Berlin, Frankfurt, Brussels, etc. Depends on where jobs open up and how much of an itch I develop for travel. Will stick around in Sydney for at least the next 12 months though.

London just seems like it would be easier to settle into. Plus I know lots of people that have been there, are there now and others who plan to be there in the future. Plus....EPL!

Really? London was the coolest city I visited in my trip to Japan (though I think it probably says more about Japan than about London ).
