His sound started to change after he made this track. As cheesy as it is, I still really like it.

yeah!!! those were great little parties. Didn't know who the hell he was but was just a nice guy playing great choons.

I remember him playing in Hollywood right after he blew up. The place was packed but all the deep house heads were leaving early wondering what the fuck happened to Kaskade??? One guy even said "why is Kaskade playing trance?" Obviously, he was joking. But his style flipped from what it had been.

I personally like the stuff that he did with Deadmau5 (esp. Move For Me) way more than the songs you posted, but maybe nostalgia (or lack of it for me since I got into EDM relatively late) is affecting our tastes.

Yeah...that DNA lounge mix is EPIC!!!!!!!!!!

There's one that's like 3/4rs long from like 05? Starts off with the first track I posted. Mix is SOLID all the way through, and it was recorded there....

His stuff with Late Night Alumni is absolutely top notch (granted, he isn't the only one in the group, but still):

Phenomenal.

Angry

he probably was the BIGGEST deep house dj/producer back then along with Miguel Migs which makes his transformation even more hard to believe.

Usually dj's have gone from more mainstream music to more underground but he's one of the few that did the reverse.

Surely there must be an interview of his where Kaskade discusses the change in style????

Strange i tell ya.

True but miguel migs is possibly the shittest DJ I have ever had the misfortune of paying to see. Honestly, he ruined the night, slowly but surely clearing the floor at the music box a few months back.

And have to agree with Quazar, Empty streets is one of the most beautiful commercial vocal house tracks ever made.
