anybody have suggestions for a table (say from Ikea for example) that's good for limited space that' holds a mixer, 2 1210's and 2 CDJ-1000's.
I really don't want to spend around $500 one of these:
with a large CD bracket
or
with a large cd bracket and in all black of course

I use the Jerker Desk from Ikea:
Mine is at waist-height, and the monitors are at ear-level. It was $200, plus an extra $30/piece for the swivel shelves that the EFX and the CDJ are on.
Oh, and CDJ-1000's will fit on the swivel shelves. I measured before I bought it, for possible upgrades. The swivel shelves can be put on the outside and turned forward if you want the CDJs a little more out of the way, yet still close.

Does anyone own the Borghamn storage unit from Ikea? It's only £54 ($95 U.S), 2 metres long and plenty of depth for big mixers (Not enough for battle positioned turntables though) It seems like a total bargain for Dj use and theres a place for your laptop/amplifier.
Anyone got one?
Isnt the desk abit small considering you have to have ur TTs in battle position?

Was thinking that myself..
I too believe building your own table is where it's at. It's not that difficult when you put together a simple table, depending one what you're looking for.
I built my own one, but i've posted pics of it a few times, (including this thread) so i wont post them again unless some one wants to see them..
Joost is right though, you need something around the 90cm mark, makes mixing so much more enjoyable as there is no back pain/any strain what so ever involved really.
