How is that ironic?

The sole bonkworthy creature that crossed Ben's path shall not be bonked. Hence, it's ironic.

30 degrees is hot! That's 80 some odd degrees Fahrenheit. Our pool is about 77-78.
Why is your aunt in hospice?

Why is your aunt in hospice?
She's my favorite aunt, I've visited her a number of times this last year and she's been getting progressively worse. I can't tell exactly what she's dieing of. She has a bunch of medical conditions, copd and skin cancer being the worse. She doesn't have long to live and that's why she was moved to hospice this week, I wasn't going to quiz her daughters on the details. It actually went well because previous weeks she didn't recognize people but today she was with it and knew who everyone was and was able to have a coherent convo.
Some of the simplest things mean so much like holding my hand, a daughters friend got her a stuffed dog, and there was a board on the wall to write messages of encouragement. The nurses and staff were really great. A very positive yet emotionally draining. It was set in a really nice location on the beach, makes the family visit more pleasant.
Actually looked like very rewarding work not like I'd imagined and the nurses looked in good spirits.

That's a very heart-rending story, igk. I'm happy she's fine now but still...

Its not as bad as it might seem because she's not my mom and not a daily part of my life. The way I look at it is when I'm in her position and we all eventually will be, I'd like people to visit me before I die not after. I have other family members who don't go because they're scared of death. There that awkward moment when you first enter the room but before you know it you're talking and smiling. I'm old and wise enough to know I don't want to live with regrets and how much family and friends mean. see now you got me all emo.

Hey, you got me emo first! And I'm off to give a class...
I better listen to some gay eurodance on my way there, otherwise this is going to be the oddest class ever on the history of language acquisition:
"You know, kids, we learn languages as we grow. But, you know what? In the end, it's just a past-time while we delay the inevitable. Namely, death. Now go home and cry yourself to sleep. Good night"
