Talking 2012.03.23-2012.03.25 [DAY/NITE] Ultra Music Festival XIV

ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL XIV
UNVEILS MASSIVE LINE-UP FOR THREE-DAY EVENT SET FOR MARCH 23, 24, 25
AT BAYFRONT PARK IN MIAMI DURING MIAMI MUSIC WEEK

TIESTO, KRAFTWERK, JUSTICE (LIVE), AVICII, DAVID GUETTA
AND ARMIN VAN BUUREN HEADLINE

ALONG WITH CARL COX, SKRILLEX, AFROJACK, MIIKE SNOW, NEW ORDER, FATBOY SLIM, DUCK SAUCE, M83., KASKADE AND MORE

2011 was an incredible year for festivals and electronic music. With the New Year rapidly approaching, all eyes are focused on what’s to come next with the leader being ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL (ULTRA), the world’s premiere electronic music event. Tickets are moving at lightning speed, only a limited amount remain (with early bird and advance on-sale tickets selling out in record time), so the promoters are highly encouraging fans not to miss out by unveiling the majority of the ULTRA line up on the Phase 1 announcement.

ULTRA is also returning to downtown Miami with Bayfront Park as it’s new location in order to accommodate a larger footprint for increased capacity. Over the last few years, the festival took place at Bicentennial Park but after reaching record-breaking 150,000 in attendance this year, and becoming the first ever, and only 3-day music festival of its kind to completely sell out 150,000 tickets six weeks in advance, ULTRA is moving next door to the tropical, waterfront park nestled between Biscayne Bay and Biscayne Boulevard. The ULTRA team is taking it back to Bayfront, where it last took place in 2005, transforming and customizing the park in a way never seen before.

Each day will be helmed by world-class headliners: TIËSTO and KRAFTWERK Friday, March 23, JUSTICE (live) and AVICII Saturday, March 24 and DAVID GUETTA and ARMIN VAN BUUREN Sunday, March 25. Other confirmed talent, in every genre of electronic music imaginable, includes a wide array of international leading electronic music performers including SKRILLEX, KASKADE, AFROJACK, PRETTY LIGHTS, DUCK SAUCE, BLOODY BEETROOTS (DJ SET), 2MANYDJS (LIVE), BASSNECTAR, CHASE & STATUS (LIVE), FEDDE LE GRAND, KNIFE PARTY and LAIDBACK LUKE, pioneering acts such as NEW ORDER, FATBOY SLIM, and SVEN VATH, cutting-edge bands like M83., MIIKE SNOW, LITTLE DRAGON, NEON INDIAN and METRONOMY and up-and-coming DJs such as SETH TROXLER and JAMIE JONES.

Confirmed talent for each day of ULTRA MUSIC FESTIVAL is:

FRIDAY, MARCH 23
Tiesto, Kraftwerk, Carl Cox, Skrillex, Afrojack, Miike Snow, Pretty Lights, New Order, Groove Armada (DJ Set), Dirty South, Loco Dice, A-Trak, Dada Life, Porter Robinson, Neon Indian, Jack Beats, Chris Lake, Michael Woods, Nicky Romero, Tommy Trash, Katy B, DJ Icey, The Knocks, Afrobeta, Jon Rundell

SATURDAY, MARCH 24
Justice Live, Avicii, Fatboy Slim, Duck Sauce, M83., Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Laidback Luke, 2manydjs (live), Flux Pavillion, Borgore, Doctor P, Metronomy, Little Dragon, Hardwell, Datsik, Andy C, Zeds Dead, 12th Planet, Magda, Skream! + Benga, Zedd, Mord Fustang, Cedric Gervais, Netsky, High Contrast, Mt. Eden, Camo & Krooked, Big Chocolate, Carbon Airways, Yousef

SUNDAY, MARCH 25
David Guetta, Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, Bassnectar, Chase and Status (live), Bloody Beetroots (DJ Set), Fedde Le Grand, Knife Party, Magnetic Man, John Digweed, Steve Aoki, Ferry Corsten, Gareth Emery, Sander Van Doorn, Flying Lotus, SBTRKT (live), Adam Beyer, Steve Lawler, Joris Voorn, Jamie, Jones, Seth Troxler, Damian Lazarus, Nic Fanciulli, Layo & Bushwacka!, Marcus Schossow, Popof, Art Department, Big Gigantic, Savoy (live), Tritonal, Jochen Miller, Keys n Krates, Elio Riso, Remo, Eco, RioTGeaR

Also returning is the Ultra Mega Structure, which will feature specialty areas each day. One of the few artists to appear at ULTRA almost every year, staple CARL COX returns with the CARL COX & FRIENDS arena Friday and CARL COX PRESENTS COCOON featuring SVEN VATH Saturday. ARMIN VAN BUUREN’s A STATE OF TRANCE 550 will take over Sunday.

With all this and much more, ULTRA has cemented itself as the premium festival for fans of club culture and the electronic genre and artists influenced by the music on a massive scale. More acts will be announced in the coming weeks leading up to the festival.

money talks, the last two years it has been this way.

anyhow, one thing is for sure. if they are saying its almost sold out. Its probably very true. Last year when they said it, tickets were gone in two days.

It doesnt hurt to buy your ticket now and sell it if you decide not to go.

much better lineup than last year i gotta say. Way more balanced across all genres of electronic music.

Really happy that SVEN VATH will be coming to Miami.

Hopefully he'll play at Sunday School too.

I couldn't be happier about Sven too. In fact, it may be the reason I attend this year. Rest assured though you won't see Sven outside of Ultra or Ultra after parties. His name has the red Ultra icon next to it which means he has exclusivity to Ultra and cannot play anywhere else during that week.

Someone's always willing to pay. To some money is no object.
