too bad he is doing more studio work than touring these days though. He was always one of my favourite swedes.
this is a great set. (lol jamie is gonna be so proud that I am expanding my techno sets!)
Edit: Just listened to Adam Beyer as well for the first time, not a huge fan, but that was probably to be expected considering my tastes.

It's too bad Preach is playing at WEMF. Though not a big fan I do respect his talent, and I don't know how appreciated he'll be at WEMF.
It'll be a substancially different vibe than playing an outdoor festival in Europe.

I trust nothing you say of Preach. You are offically in love with him, after all (and apparently all of New York!).

I AM proud of you Yanks!
And re: Beyer... you're not a huge fan now, nor was I the first time (or the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc) I heard a set of his...
... just wait till you see him live... THEN you'll fucking understand and love the hell outta him!
Trust. That's the way it was for me. Gave me a WHOLE NEW appreciation!

lol no not in love, in respect. (ask jenn, he is hawt, but too white boy for moi) heheheh!!
I was trying to say "its ok if you dont like him, there are plenty of other acts there to enjoy." Some people love preach, some people are "meh"....I never hate on people for who they like cuz whats the freakin point? not gonna change their minds. But yeah, Preach has been impressing the hell out for me for years and I finally admitted that I was a HUGE fan. lol It was hard to say that this "random guy" from montreal (who played TECHNO nonetheless!) held a place in my musical heart over my (TRANCE!)favs at the time. lol that was a day hell froze over officially.
Jamie: hmmmm I dont know I think I will always take the bangin stuff over anything else. Since I dont know shit yet, would you classify beyer as minimal or am I wayyy off? ps: I knew you would be proud. I am listening to techno more than trance now. fuck.

Beyer is pretty minimal now but I find he does minimal and experimental techno in a much more dancefloor oriented, peak time kind of way than a lot of DJs playing minimal. Let me find the recording of his set from Toronto last October, you'll see what i mean - though that set is a fair mix between some older techno goodies and newer minimal stuff. I would say all of his sets I've heard from 2007 are more minimal and experimental than his toronto set was.
