That Harrier pilot just looked dumb, he was coming in way too fast it looked like. Not that the Harrier is a forgiving jet to fly at all... Its actually one of the hardest, especially on landing and low thrust actions, but still the guy was coming in like a rock.

Anyone who has flown in real life or even played good realistic flight simulators knows how important rate of descent is... especially on a plane like the Harrier with its landing gear arrangement.
The plane came down too fast and with its nose up angle for approach the plane bounced hard and the tail snapped, then the nose came down hard and the front landing gear collapsed and his nose broke off...
It is also common knowledge in any with any interest in flight or military flight that the Harrier is a very unfriendly airframe.
