I don't know how pronounce it either, so I just say foo-guh-wa-zee. Hao Zi or Ashley works. |
Unless you have a monosyllabic surname, I think I'll stick to Ashley

I can certainly attest for this! My girlfriend is Croatian, but I am actually a super calm and laid back kind of person when it comes to most of the little squabbling shit, so I can defuse things pretty well |
I can relate to this. I don't know why the hell people think Japanese people are harmonious and calm. The immigrants and their descendents here always seem to be quarrelling about something.
It's kind of cute, actually, the girls look like pufferfish when they're angry <3

Nope, she watches soap operas and likes Sublime. hahah
She's really not much like me, which is weird because in the past I'd always sought the company of people who shared the greatest amount of common interests. But I've come to realize that is an extremely shallow thing, and if you intend to stay with somebody for a long time, not only does it not matter what trendy little things they're into at the moment that just so happen to jive with your own, but it's important for each of you to have interests which divulge so that you spend important time maintaining your own lives and culture rather than always being the same. That's not to say we don't enjoy things together or something, it's just that distance makes the heart grow fonder, even if she is close by.
I've never learned so much from a woman before my girlfriend. She's maybe one of the most selfless and giving people I know, which has proven to be quite the quandary to a selfish/sadist/nihilist like myself. |
And here's one more thing I can relate too. I'm a very theoretical guy and she's a hands-on kind of person. She taught me how to be more practical, and I think I'm to blame for her Master's degree to a certain extent
