my top 10 of 2011 so far:
1. 13 assassins
2. martha marcy may marlene (great news about this movie. it received an earlier boost from october 2011 to july 2011. look out for this movie)
3. meek's cutoff
4. how to die in oregon
5. attack the block
6. i saw the devil
7. hanna
8. biutiful
9. source code
10. Hobo with a shotgun
so i rewatched
'Hobo with a Shotgun'
and 'Attack the Block'
2 great movies. my 2 favorites of 2011. Rewatching it, i had to readjust my top 10 favorites:
1. 13 assassins
2. martha marcy may marlene
3. the tree of life
4. meek's cutoff
5. how to die in oregon
6. Hobo with a shotgun
7. attack the block
8. i saw the devil
9. hanna
10. biutiful
still have a good number of months to go, and some good movies at the end of this year.

i am going to leave this here:
'Drive' with Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan, Bryan Cranston('Breaking Bad'), and Christina Hendricks('Mad Men')
this has been getting a lot of rave reviews, and i saw the trailer last night. i have a good feeling about this movie.

Anyone seen the trailer of The Rum Diary? From the mind of Hunter S. Thompson, starring Johnny Depp. Along the lines of Fear & Loathing, looking at the trailer this could be a fun movie. Doubt it will come near F&L though.
