sometimes I find the beatport charts are a bit of a joke - ie artists charting things from 5 or more years ago, charting their entire label's back catalogue, etc. I haven't exactly spent a lot of time looking, but my guess is that beatport doesn't cater much to Gayle's harder sound but she did the chart for some exposure and picked the softer stuff that she liked.
