ive only seen nikko dj once or twice, but i liked the tunes hes played. same with lister. at andy moor he and paulie c played some brilliant stuff. lister was goin at it with the mixer too. i loved that set, it was just about the highlight of the night for me. then i download this new mix and i dont like it. A) because i personally think that this style of music is crap and B) because i couldnt believe those two were playing it. there was no problem with the technical side of that mix (well not that i could tell, i deleted it already ) but that music pisses me off because i think it sounds shit and it pisses me off that these people now are playing it when they didnt used to. i dont think thats poor form. of course music is subjective and they wouldnt play music like that if they didnt like it. well maybe they would play it if they didnt like it because it might get them more gigs or something i dunno. but the point is they put a mix up here for people to download and tell them what they think of it. so i did. if you dont agree with me on that mix thats fine. if you dont agree with the way i commented on that mix well then too bad, thats how it made me feel so thats what i expressed. if lister and nikko dont like what i posted and it bothers them so much then they can talk to me about it. ive just explained my comments so they shouldnt have a problem with it, apart from someone not liking it. im sure there are lots of people who will like it and thats great the only poor form is from these djs putting mixes here that i don't like
i put mixes up here that people didnt like, mostly because my skills at the time were shit. i dont go off and say "poor form! i cant believe they didnt like my mix". i go off and practise more. if people thought my mixes were shit because they didnt like the style of music well then again i dont go off saying "poor form! they dont like that music" i say "oh well they dont like that style but they still listened to it so thanks". |
well said Philby.
Plus i'd rather have someone post/say they didn't like a mix or set, instead of using the shadows of my back to voice their opinions on me.
