It's not as drastic as Requiem, but it is heart-wrenching. I'd say the only thing the two movies have in common is that they're both about addiction and you watch the characters descend deeper into it. I think you should see it, it's quite beautiful. Prepare for some long shots, though, I know you don't like them much.
