Nah. I never thought I would be "famous" on any big scale, and I always knew I wasn't a musical genius. It's just that I no longer have musical ideas, and even when I do have the beginning of something I never carry it through because the process of fleshing out an idea, which I used to love, has stopped being enjoyable for the most part.
And by "doing something" I basically meant being part of a creative community of some sort, people who all have a passion for making and listening to kinds of music similar to what I like -- something offline, not just on a forum. This wouldn't have to involve fame or even profit of any sort. Just some people I could relate to as far as music goes, and being part of a network of feedback and inspiration.
I've been spending hours every day on forums for ten years, and I am fucking sick of it like you wouldn't believe. But every time I try to give it up I just get so fucking bored that I go right back to it.
