However, EDM seems to be political for some people - it's not about the music itself but it's about what the music symbolises, where the music came from, who spins it and how obscure it is.

There was a very obvious trend in those yearmixes for him to have outro beats + acappella of vocal track for almost every transition possible.
I suppose that it is also a reflection of the direction ASOT has gone since 4 years ago - more vocal and radio friendly to grab the casual listener.
And this remix of Southern Sun has always been so incredibly overrated. G&D did a far superior job imo.
Its just downright lazy... its not even only for vocal tracks, basically the outro for the previous track is looped for the next song or two while their breakdowns played.
I suppose they're always rushed out to be readily availible for people to purchase for Christmas as well though.
ASOT still remains the radio show that I mostly listen to, but Armin definately isn't one of the DJs I'd place any priority on going to see live - his popularity level / marketing level is well on its way to approaching that of Tiesto.

From this to "Crash and burn" or "love story". Oh, how mighty have fallen. Can't stand her voice lately. I pretend someone else is singing this track now.

No no, not dub... just better lyrics... the version Tiesto first played at Dutch Dimension. She says "than to find somewhere I feel sincerity" rather than "than to face another night of Southern Sun."

I actually never liked Rapture... and I think her vocals in Crash N Burn are still good, but they're a bit strange in Love Story.
