Rob, do you know if your channel faders (studio style) have the same kind of socket as the regular fader styles on other xones? i'm asking because i really want to replace my 92 style faders with the studio style tops of the 62

I don't think they are:
It's funny you say that though, because the faders on the 92 are the things I hate the most about it - they just feel loose and imprecise to me. I love the tension on the faders on the 62, but have gotten in many, many a late night/afterhours pissing match with other local DJ's about which are better.
People have surprisingly strong opinions on that one.

I thought so..
On the good news front. There were 4 big boxes at home for me yesterday when i arrived home.
3 flight cases and a Xone 92... Whooop Whooooop!
Had a quick mess about with it yesterday. The pots are incredible! Stiff but i like them.
You're right about the faders, i was shocked at how loose they were. Good for whacking tracks in and out but if you touch the fader by accident you can lower the volume considerably.
Loving the individual meters on each channel.
Getting used to the LFO filter as i've never had anything like that to mess around with before.
Dunno if i'll use it that much though. I'm not a big man for effects. But it's definitely nice to have
Also got some Xone XD 53's (cost an extra 10er and they were thrown in for 'free')
I hate them.. I'm going to put them up on Ebay. They're not a tight fit on my head. The cups don't isolate the sound very well. I feel like i have to crank them up to get anything from them. Granted they might need to be run in a bit but I'm just going to try and make some money back by selling them. Pity, i was looking forward to testing some new cans.

Looking at both pictures i'd be surprised if they do.
Only because the faders on the 92 are horizontal where as the studio style faders are vertical.
I'm sure you could get a kit from somewhere to convert it..
Maybe not..
Sure let us know Freak when you have them side by side.
Ryan it is completely personal preference.
One thing that really stood out for me was the fact that when i took the Xone's off and put my HD25's back on the 25's just sounded richer. As if they didn't need to be pushed as hard to give me a nice clear sound.
Again it came down to the isolation for me though. The Xone's just didn't cut out enough outside noise for me.
How much would you put them up on Ebay for? Remembering that they are grossly over priced over here in europe (£139 or something)
