Yeah, I read about that today too, but I wasn't really into Buffy. I watched the original film, probably far too many times as a stoned teenager, but the series never hooked me, despite having several friends that were really into Buffy.

Joss Whedon was the writer (not just the creator) in a whole lot of the original Buffy series', right? From what I understood, reading today, he's just an exec producer or something in the reboot?

That might be fine, TV writing is fucking great at the moment.

yeah, i was the same. i assumed it was the typical 90s fantasy/scifi shite which only B5 (and for you, farscape) elevated itself above. my mates forced me to watch it though and im glad they did. its best bits were awesome, especially considering the quality of tv at the time. i've actually been working my way thru season 4 and 5 the last couple of months.

yep he was the brains behind the two shows. coming back as producer is good i hope, even if he hasn't overseen a successful show in quite a while (i don't count agents of shield coz it's shit).

Colonial breakfast Sunday: Nicaraguan Breakfast.

Once you add enough sausage and meat, you’ve pretty much got a Full Fried English breakfast.

I call it, Miskito Breakfast. A full English breakfast with Dirty rice (gallo pinto) instead of black beans; added fried plantanes and cheese.

Ceteris paribus. You’ve got a full English-Nicaraguan breakfast.

You don't have black beans on a Full English, pretentious fuckwit.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Ugh, I long for a true English breakfast. They seem to use mexican beans out here which are virtually dry. The sausages are awful, and bacon in this stringy stuff made mainly of fat and no actual bacon. Black pudding? Never even seen it here.

I once went for breakfast at a café just a few doors down from Hardwax in Berlin where they did breakfasts in various European styles. Much to my amusement, this included a Full English, and I decided to order it to see if they could get it right. They tried their best, but they just couldn't make it nearly greasy and shitty enough to be the real thing. The baked beans came in this little crystal goblet thing with a sprig of parsley on top, and the toast was some kind of sour dough, rather than authentically sponge-y white crap. I wonder if they knew they were getting it wrong, or whether they deliberately sanitised it for European tastes.

I'll still remember that little hole in a wall you took me to in Leeds (think it was Leeds, right?) that one time for a Full English. Proper ol' greasy plate full of cholesterol and deliciousness. If I remember correctly even the plates were plastic lol.

Honestly some of the best Full English's I've had living there were from places where you shouldn't even be eating off the plates I remember one time I walked into a dank, dusty and musty pub at 6:30AM for a Full English (they were advertising it on their sidewalk sign) before catching a bus out of the city. There were these 2 dudes sitting at the bar hammering down pints of the house ale with a Full English plate in front of em. I definitely looked out of place lol.
