It does sound stupid, considering I really dislike bars, especially obnoxiously loud ones, which in the US are the only option in most areas. Also, I am terrible at distinguishing what people are saying when there's a crowd and noisy music, so I would suck as a bartender on that level even if I could get past the social aspect of interacting non-stop with demanding drunk people for hours.
