Phil. What are the chances of actually recording and distributing onto the net the Lee Burridge and/or Eric Prydz set?
Or any of the sets for that matter? We've had some great shows in the Twin Cities before that I'd love to be able to listen to again, but never have seen a dj set on the net out of MPLS.
BTW we also need to add Rabbit In The Moon @ Foundation 9/20 & Justice @ Foundation 10/16.
Goodness, Late September - All of October is going to be massive for the Twin Cities. |
It depends on the DJ.. Some don't want their sets to be recorded at all (regardless if you're the promoter or not), some don't mind if only the promoter gets a recording, and some don't mind if it gets recorded and then put on the net.
Hawtin's manager actually deleted the Foundation recording when he was last here while Hawtin was playing. There have been numerous recordings made available though. Some old Hawtin at the Quest, Habersham mixes, Lostep @ The Quest, Daft Punk, etc.
Like the Luke Fair show.. He allowed me to record it under the promise I don't share it or play it to anyone. So it's in my own personal archive of collections along with Damian Lazarus and a number of other acts I've brought to town.
Zabiela's Escape Minneapolis set is up on the Rave Lizards forum.
In the end it all depends on the DJ, his agent/manager and what the intention of the recording is for. Some cities who have strong clubs and radio stations will be able to record more of these acts than smaller cities.
