Nah, we live primarily off the tourism and don't use the Euro so we're ok. At least for now.

Luckily you can't get it again. Last years experience did help me through it though as I know how bad life can actually get in terms of sickness. I'm not sure I'll ever go through that type of pain and illness ever again. Well, fingers crossed at least.

that's not a bad thing, you've got to do what egypt & turkey do which is thrive off being a good tourist place that isn't in the eurozone so represents great value for money. My mum always talks about how beautiful Yugoslavia was, she worked as a travel agent after school until she had my brother & gave up to look after both of us. It was a massive destination in the 70s & 80s supposedly.

Probably not as he doesn't have much, immediate money gone in 6 months, 4.5yrs of alimony payments and irate brothers-in-law hunting him with AK47's.

Sounds great. Usually even driving to split for a beer woudnt have ben a problem, but since i took a financial hit this year it was only Rabac for me...by next year driving down to zadar for a beer shoudnt be a problem...actually im supposed to be near there now, got invited by some friends to go along to Novalja until the end of the month...but i dont have enough energy (or moeny) left in me to party for two weeks straight. One visit to Zrće this year was enough for me, two weeks there...fuck i would probably die.
