Next thing you know, you're also quoting Owen Jones and campaigning for Jeremy Corbyn

I was thinking less Momentum and more Global Underground.

I know, but it's just a matter of time until you go all prog, from Xpander to expansion of all public services, just you wait

Anyway, this is just pointless banter to distract you a bit because eye diseases tend to be really annoying. I don't know anyone who suffers from Fuchs' dystrophy but the people I know who have degenerative eye diseases usually tell me entire Nordic sagas about the treatment. I hope all goes well with you though

Shit man, I was hoping for more "Good luck with it stabilising so you won't need a transplant." My condition is called keratoconus, by the way, it's not Fuch's dystrophy.

Yeah, that too. I think I just took the worst case scenario as reality. Although in fairness you didn't mention your condition stabilizing, you only said the disease progressively deteriorates your vision. So is it getting better or worse?

Worse, but from what I've read, only 10-25% of cases require surgery. I will still probably eventually need special contact lenses to see as a best case scenario. At the moment I only know what I can glean from Google. I need to speak to a specialist for a proper understanding of how this will change my life.

The people I know with keratoconus seem to live pretty ordinary lives, all the hassle with contact lenses and the like notwithstanding. One even landed a job in the public sector reserved for handicapped people because it counts as a disability in Brazilian law.

As I recall it, this person has had it since her early teens, and she claims she could be blind as a bat without the proper precautions, but she's been doing okay so far.
