I scared the fucking shit out of myself one night because I woke myself out of sleep-talking, and it was so conscious yet unconscious....like my sense of hearing was really present, but everything else wasn't coming together. Anyway, I could hear myself talking as I woke up, and the voice sounded so slow and warped. Like a record playing backwards revealing Satanic messages. Fuck I thought I was gonna have a heart attack.
I think I may have shared this before. Wasn't that long ago.
I woke myself up literally singing this song a few weeks back:
It was confusing, because I was not just mumbling the lyrics... I was literally singing, and woke myself up. I love this song, though.
//My theory is that the lyrics "that was just a dream" came to me and started me off singing because I had begun to lucid dream shortly before and I'm often startled by this in the dreamworld. Happens pretty often, actually, though I don't typically calm myself by singing.

Seriously, good luck with that. If you're work is as screwed up as my girlfriend's, you're up against a capacity for self-deception which, even under the weight of mounting labor costs and a constancy of troubling reports from the front-lines, will remain undaunted simply because they know nothing of what works apart from the currently discombobulating chaos. Do your best to document the patterns of dysfunction with as much precision as possible and tie all of it to the financial bottom line. If you can put a high-dollar value on a persistently demonstrated pattern of fucked-sideways-with-a-jackhammer - that's your best bet.
The issues at my work revolve mainly around greed and incompetence. The people in charge are most certainly deluded about many things. Myself and the other unlicenced nursing staff have been keeping records of everything we report that doesn't get resolved. We're definitely covering our own asses at this point and making sure we have the evidence there when the shit hits the fan. Cause eventually it will.

Bah no flash on my phone...what tune? I'll have to wait till I'm on my comp. But yeah, I've woken up singing too. Also laughing hysterically, crying, and even boogieing around in the bed, lol.

I'll never forget that. I stayed with my mom every summer, and I used to crawl into her bed in the middle of the night and snuggle with her. Well she always slept with the radio on, and the music came into my dreams quite often. One morning I woke up shimmying around to Samantha Fox. Lol. I remember being so pumped.

Invariably, they will ask how it occurred that they weren't informed of the extensive problems resulting in the calamity. "You mean the Aspiration Pneumonia occurred as the result of CA-MRSA after the patient was admitted for an unrelated illness? How could you let this happen?"

It's not up to me to answer for these issues. I've already followed the correct procedure, according to the college of nurses. The person who will get fucked is my boss.

Oh, I know. I also know, somewhat first hand, about how the Assisted Living industry hear in MI treats its messengers. Maybe it's different in Canada but the sign over the office supply closet at my now former employer's which reads, "I don't know what makes you so dumb but it sure works." should be a dead give-away as to how they treat employees.

Probably just the call of Cthulhu, no big deal.

I've listened to "the call of Cthulhu" audio book like a week ago, and there was no REM at the end

Dammits. I need to know when a tune is coming out so I can plan my winter 2010 mix. I have a lot of stuff which is out now or will be in time for it, but for one of the best tracks I don't know anything
