I did a home project over the past week. Painted my kitchen countertop with this "countertop finish" stuff. It was pretty easy, an epoxy like material that went on very well. My countertop is laminate; so it went on well, but the color I picked didn't turn out very well. So I repainted over it with Black. it looks awesome, but I didn't wait long enough for the first coat apparently to stay. so it crackled up. Not a big deal, it looked kinda cool. Then I sprayed on six coats of High Gloss from a spray can. that turned out kinda OK, because the power from the spray can spread it around not very well. I thought about using the liquid acrylic stuff I did like with my coffee tables; but that would have cost a lot, and taken a lot more. Probably should have done it anyway, because the gloss just isn't the same....so now whenever I set something on it for an extended period of time, it presses through the gloss, and thru the Black and exposes the first brown color. damn! unless you really inspect it you can't notice it, but from afar it looks cool. makes everything match better.
