Why? It reminded me quite a lot of São Paulo, but cleaner. And São Paulo is my second favourite city here in Brazil... is Brisbane more awesome? |
It's just down to personal preferences, I think. Brisbane is NOT a city that I would compare to London, at all.
I find it interesting that you considered London clean. I found it filthy And massively polluted (walking around for a day in London, coming home, blowing your nose, and getting BLACK SNOT is not cool in any way). But, that's because I'm not used to it, probably. Maybe the locals are just chill with that kind of thing. Ugh
Aside from that, I disliked the usual 'big city' stuff. Cold people, busy busy busy, no time to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. Expensive as hell, too. On the other hand, when they DO have a moment of spare time, there are sooooo many cool things that can be done. If it can be afforded.
I really like that it's laid back here I'm a very chilled person, and it fits me well.

If you ever visit São Paulo, you'll understand what I mean. Cubatão, a neighoubring city, was our Swansea during the 90's — I'm surprised either city isn't among the most polluted places on Earth any more!

Oh, I happen to like that. I live in a "big town" with a cosmopolitan twist, it's really bizarre. It's like a small town with two million inhabitants that, in average, look more sophisticated than everyone around us.
