Its SO crowded and what I've noticed over the past few years is that its turned from the normal raver crowd to the spring breaker crowd, so instead the normal EDM crew you have a bunch of drunk assholes (i.e. bros) trying to start mosh pits and fight. Fuck all that nonsense IMO. I still go to Miami every year to see all the other shit that goes on though, smaller clubs are just better experiences all around. |
That is the same mindset I have. Drunk, loud obnoxious crowds at Ultra, its not like it used to be. The best thing to do is just go and find out wow 'he/she is playing at that small venue!' That's how it has been for me for years and some of the very best times were in the small venues with Sandra Collins, Trent Cantrelle and stumbling on French Connection on a stage to a nothing crowd on Ocean Drive at 10pm, and it was one of the best times of my life. For the money you can save by NOT going to Ultra, you get get into five others venues, and for all intent and purpose, Pete Tong just always puts together epic lineups. I'd rather do his pool party than Ultra with the fanboys for lack of a better phrase.
