Sorry Richard but that's just too loud from my perspective. I stopped the track.

Actually I have just re-uploaded a quieter differently mixed version just now as I too felt it was too cooked.

Oh, now that's a different story. The track breaths.

Great ideas as usual. I really admire your perseverance and notable improvements.

However, specifically...the low end could be further polished. I can't really understand what you got down there. A sub bass, a mid bass or a combination of the two. Anyway, it sounds like you've low passed too much the bassline. The low end is there, you notice it, but it lacks some top end that makes it cut through. Lacks some bite if you know what I mean.

I think a slightly brighter and more present (but lower in volume) low end would work better for such track.

But always remember, that's just my personal perspective. You could ignore it and do whatever you wanna do.

I really like this. Very chill, floaty. I'd like to hear a little more organic crunch in the drums, but that's a minor quibble. Looking forward to hearing the whole thing.

As ever though I would appreciate any final last mix advice - whether you think the bass is correct.

This song just keeps getting better and better.

Sounds good mate, I think I may have mentioned the bass notes in the third bar of the 4 bar phrase to you before. Sounds like the first two bars start on C then it goes to A flat for the third and fourth bar, I would have the bass playing G on the third bar and then to A flat on the fourth bar. Give it a try!

It's because the piano riff is actually dictating what the bass notes should be playing, the bass follows it nicely except for that third bar of the progression.

Richard, just in case I'm hearing things and the progression isn't starting on C here's what I mean in number values, first and second bar play root note, third bar plays 5 half steps below root note, fourth bar plays 4 half steps below root note.
