i´m really a trance dj (i have my computer hooked up to the tables so maybe soon i´ll upload a real audio mix), but i always try new thing i don´t like being stuck with the same thing...
here is the problem, i´m in south america and i can´t get vinyls i mean i just can´t the price is 4 times higher than europe or usa, scratch vinyls don´t exist at all, the 2 i had i got them from internet and they cost me a lot (like 50 dollars each)
i wish i got to work as a dj in a club but thats very hard here too since most clubs aren´t dance clubs (i mean electronic music), most of them play latin music, and that comes on cd, i don´t want to give up on vinyl but how would u feel knowing that you can´t have new music... it has been almost half a year since i got my last record, i kept on practising with the same records over and over, coz i like them but there´s a point where it becomes more a work than a hobby, you know, listening the same records over and over, and NOT adding new ones...
about being a scratch dj, im far away from that, but i think if i could get hip hop vinyls or scratch lps, i would like to get more into that, but like i said, things here are very different from the north
anyway, i will keep the tables, i didn´t want to sell them in the first place, but it gets tedius having to play the same records all the time, maybe i should rest for a while and then get back to it
well, i hope you understand my situation
peace
PS: thanks guys, i realised that vinyl is what i love, altough having decks and cds wouldn´t hurt
