yes the bike test was a big joke. the air force went to a better PT test in the past decade, that includes pushups, situps, a 1.5 mile run (uesd to be 2 miles), and a waist measurement (abdominal circumference). the waist thing is typcial nerdy air force; but the other stuff is actual physical exersion. granted, most people can pass it if you arne't a lazy POS, but if you don't work out, then you won't pass it.
the military is whatever you make of it. if you want to be a lazy POS and do chair force, then you can. if you want to go out and do fun things and experience more than just paperwork, you can do that too. other branches are similar too, depending on your rank.
