Dietary cholesterol and blood cholesterol are only partially related. Most cholesterol is actually made by your liver, not taken in directly through diet, and non-cholesterol dietary sources such as fructose can actually cause an increase in your blood cholesterol. Add to this the fact that the most relevant measurement is now thought to be the ratio of HDL to LDL cholesterol, not just total cholesterol, and the relationship between diet and blood cholesterol is anything but a simple, intuitive one like "eat more cholesterol, have worse cholesterol measurements."
