Exactly, unless your a professional DJ and clearly know what your doing (do gigs) it's not worth IMO to get equipment like that starting out. I mean sure I have the CDJ 1000 MK2s and am still learning how to use everything on there, I think for a home set up, it's not always neccessary to have the best of the best, unless you clearly know what your doing. I do think there is a thing called over-kill. If I had to choose, I would have probably just got CDJ 200s and got a DJM 400 mixer, but I had some money saved up and I sold a bunch of stuff...like my TTs, a Yamaha DJX keyboard and a Numark DM-3001X mixer. I had $1,000 saved up in one account, and I got another $1,000 for all of those things I sold. Haha that was the only way I would have afforded the CDJ 1000 MK2s last summer.
