Global DJ Broadcast: Ibiza Summer Sessions and A State Of Trance 416 (08-06-2009)
Global DJ Broadcast
Well folks another Thursday has reached us, which means that it's Global DJ Broadcast day. However, this is not a traditional episode.
Tune in to the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour, this month featuring resident mixologist Markus Schulz, recorded live from the Global Gathering festival in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Over the past number of months, Markus has been an integral part of Godskitchen's Urban Wave and Global Gathering projects. Scheduled to play at no less than 8 Urban Wave and Global Gathering extravaganzas in various cities across Europe and Asia this year, he was bestowed with the title of Global Gathering Festival Resident at the beginning of May.
Having entertained the masses at the Ukrainian and British editions of Global Gathering in July, Markus decided to capture the festival ambiance for the first time in the World Tour series, and the chosen destination would be in a country where the appetite for trance supercedes many others across the world, Russia.
You can catch Markus' set from the night on the 20th edition of the Global DJ Broadcast World Tour, live from Global Gathering at Tuutari Park in St. Petersburg, on Thursday August 6th.

A State Of Trance
Be sure to stick around for A State Of Trance w/ Armin Van Buuren
Passion is the first word you think of when it comes to Adrian's music. Since his first contact with it, his achievements have included playing with sounds, composing melodic lines and innovation.
It's all about the trip! Mr.Pit's musical trip began back in 1996 when he was heavily influenced by the dance scene. As the years passed, his style moved along with the trance movement, as he added aggressive elements and various influences to his sound.
In 2003, having been inspired by live acts such as Rank1 and NuNrg, Adrian realized it was time to make his debut on stage under the "Mr.Pit" project name, creating and manipulating live sounds at Romania's leading electronic music festival at the time: TM03BASE.
Adrian is the man behind musical projects such as "Adrian Ivan" and "Mr.Pit". Whether as original artist or remixer, Adrian has been honored to be part of respected labels such Coldharbour, Fektive, High Contrast and Drizzly, (to name just a few).
But that was just the beginning of Adrian's musical journey. After many events and the countless hours spent in the studio, and due to his gained experience and artistic abilities, Adrian met a man on a mission with dreams to meet the world - Markus Schulz. Upon meeting Adrian, a small part of Schulz's mission was accomplished, and an abrupt change in direction occurred in Adrian's career.
Receiving great support from the electronic dance scene for tracks such "Isolarium", "More Manners Please" "Shana" or "Back for More" - after teaming with British singer Vicky Fee, Mr.Pit's artistic profile has grown quickly. His artistic/dj evolution is at full speed as he explores new ideas, new horizons, and creates music of the highest standards.
To complete his musical excitement, Adrian realized he can share his joy with new talents and established artists, nevertheless, at the end of 2006 he laid the foundation of his electronic music imprint aiming to release good quality titles in trance/progressive/tech-trance genres. The name of the label is suggestive - Well Mixed Records.
Currently, Adrian focuses on his musical projects. The journey continues...

The Progressive Showcase returns to http://www.sense.fm today (Monday August 10th) with another two hours of the finest in all things progressive. For this week's edition of the show I'm delighted to welcome special guests Tim Grube & Mike Hovsepian.
Tim & Mike began producing together around two years ago & have scored major hits with their unique fusion of dark brooding basslines & haunting uplifting melodies. The duo, from Los Angeles & Miami respectively, have featured heavily in the sets of Markus Schulz & many of the world's other leading DJs. This success has seen their work featured on some of the leading labels within the scene including Coldharbour, Armada, S107 & Neuroscience.
As well as the success of their production work the duo have also begun to find success with their DJing. Their show 'The Grube & Hovsepian Sessions' is a staple of US satellite radio & has featured a plethora of headliner guest mixers. Tim was also asked personally by Markus Schulz to be a part of the recent 'Coldharbour Day' celebrations, closing proceedings with a magnificent two hour set.
I've been a huge fan on Tim & Mike's production work over the past eighteen months or so & have featured their work heavily throughout my sets this year, it's a great pleasue to welcome them to the show for an exclusive guest mix during hour two of this week's show.
The opening hour of the show will feature an exclusive sixty minute set from myself, featuring the usual blend of progressive house & trance. Expect to hear remix & production work from the likes of Cirez D, Andy Moor & Ashley Wallbridge, Gui Boratto & many, many more.
The show is scheduled for broadcast from 17.00 - 19.00 (BST) later today (Monday August 10th) via the Progressive Channel over at http://www.sense.fm. I very much hope some of you can tune in!
