Correct, that column is the source for the dates. If the promoter/club has announced a date itself, it's listed as Announced since they shouldn't be announcing it until it's 100% confirmed and set to go. Although, cancellations do happen and DJ tours are moved around so sometimes gigs are announced and then pulled down (ie. Blank & Jones were announced to play for Spundae at Ruby Skye in June and both RS and Spundae had annnounced it, but the announcement had to be recalled and it's being reschedule.
If it's not announced by the promoter and/or club, then where the gig date is found is listed. AMOnly is one of the largest EDM agencies in the US and the date was found on their site at www.amonly.com. Other large agencies include The Collective Agency aka TCA, Bullitt Bookings, Most Wanted, etc etc etc. While a gig announced by an agency is usually solid it's not always 100% set and is pulled a lot more often than announced gigs.
Other sources include DJ sites, DJ MySpaces, etc etc. |
