As Jay said, I think the reason is the smoking by-law. A lot of people from KH, me being one of them, kept venturing into the main room in order to get to one of the smoking areas: patio, smoking lounge or skybar. That's why the KH seemed so empty but it was hell in the main room. Turns out, there was a designated smoking area for the KH right outside the coat-check side entrance to KH. Unfortunately, most people didn't know about this including the bouncers. I spoke to a few of them and they all directed me to the main room side of the complex. I wish management would just inform the staff about these things or better yet, invest in a proper smoking area easily accessible from KH without people having to venture to the main room.
Another thing, what's all this negativity towards asians? FYI, I'm "asian" too but I'm not from the oriental part of it. The term is being used to loosely that it's starting to annoy and slightly offend me. This aside, leave them be!! They're there to have a good time like all of us. I don't see any of them harassing other people but I have witnessed the opposite. They just do things differently, that's all. This is Toronto for God's sake; we're supposed to be more accepting of all cultures.
I've read the entire thread and everyone’s main concerns are with over-crowding and capacity issues. Don't you see that the "type of crowd" wouldn’t matter if the was plenty of room for everyone? So lets stop this "cracked-out asian" talk... ok? Thanks!

Sorry if you took offence to some of my comments Ben, but you know the people im talking about. Maybe i just should've kept it to "cracked out people". And in response to what you said about them just there to have a "good time like all of us". Their intentions, compared to most of ours are completely different if you ask me. They get fucked to the point they dont even realize theres music playing and because of their state of mind, bump into 50 people before getting to where they wanna go. This isnt what going to a club is about, although at the Guv, it seems to be a lot of peoples main reason for being there.

Many of them can be very inconsiderate. I think thats what ppl were trying to say. But that really goes for everyone there. Many of the ppl that go to guv can be inconsiderate, regardless of ethnicity, as was the case saturday night.
but the term "cracked out asian" is used bacause thats what sometimes people see. I posted about what i saw in the "Viva crowd" thread about what i saw there the night NuNRG was there. I'm not being negative towards asians. Most of my friends are asian, and even they use that term, admit that theres a problem there. But like i said in that thread, ive never seen or had any problems with them at guv.
And i use the term "them" because im referring to certain groups of asians, most of you know what im talking about. Definately not all of them. I'm not stereotyping anyone. If i see a white boy that fuck im gonna call him cracked-out too.
