Smiley DJ Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams

I herd Sweetest Dreams for the first time in April 2002 and every since I couldn't get enough of that song and other timeless tracks by Corderoy , it took a while for Greg Murray's remix to follow . The FC Remix (as herd on Ferry Corsten - World Tour Washington) is very good but not as good as it could have been considering Ferry's unbelievable talent (he's one of my favorite DJ/producers) . I still think that original is the best and my opinion about the remixes is as follows :

#1 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Original Mix)
#2 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Greg Murray Mix)
#3 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Nells Amazon Night Mix)
#4 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)

What do you people think ? Which remix is your favorite and what do you think about original ?

quote:
" Sweetest dreams - This piece of art could very well go down in history as the tune that came out the blue and went all the way, deep into peoples heart filling major parties with instant love and joy. "

" ... winners of the December leg of Lynx White Label Euphoria competition 2002 with major feedback from judge Guy Ornadel saying “A great emotive hands in the air Vangelis trance track. With excellent key programming I've no doubt this would go down a storm at clubs at Passion, Gatecrasher and Godskitchen … "

Newest addition :
Corderoy v Matt Darey - Sweetest Dreams (Into These Arms)
I am amazed , excellent work .

Hmm.. i think my fav is Nell's Amazon Night Mix, soo calm and beautiful chilled mix. Greg Murray and Original are a tie as 2nd, but Ferry could have done soo much better job IMO. His remix is a disappointment really, was expecting much more from him.

Ouh yeah , you do like chilled music , I know that . I agree that Nell is very talented , I'd honestly put it separate from the other two remixes but I didn't want to make things confusing and split everything into four categories for a few remixes of one track .

Its very hard to choose between the original and Greg Murray, but I think I personally prefer the Greg Murray mix over the Original. This would be my lineup below:
#1 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Greg Murray Mix)
#2 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Original Mix)
#3 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Nells Amazon Night Mix)
#4 Corderoy - Sweetest Dreams (Ferry Corsten Remix)

dont refer to mine as a mix, just a reconstruction or re-edit

i didnt produce the sounds as i stated in the amateur section, i worked with a 3 minute ambient version, and re-edited it and add a few sounds like the rain and wildlife, a bit like comparign the Brittany mix of galaxia to the solarstone mix or the 3n1 update of cafe del mar to the 3n1 mix

all teh ambient samples i was given came from corderoy himself and a good friend of mine.

either refer to the 3min version as (Corderoy's Ambient Mix) or my update as (Nell Amazon Night Re-Edit)

my fault for naming it mix at the time, but i dont wanna make out im some sor tof super producer ;]

Hopefulyl we will see a full lenght amibent mix on corderoys album (although i think i improved it a bit, so im gunan send it to him)

ive also made an abient rework of mike shiver feelings which will be in the amatuer section soon hopefully. its taken me ages to do it since i dint have the parts to it other than the instrumental. its unfinished atm, but im getting there, its totalyl unnoficiall and is fileld with matt darey and michael woods ambient samples, quite a mash up ic an tell you! and its 10x more chilled than the corederoy mix!

watch the amateur section for more developments!
