So I've gotta give it to you Mag, you absolutely opened my eyes with this mix. I'm completely stunned. I'm listening to your first one, and I'm blown away. These tracks are incredible, especially noting their time period, there is a lot of Old School Goa Trance that I wish I would have known about years ago! I'm 29 minutes in, and this track is hilarious and I had to start replying, simply because of the goofy banjo sounding thing in the background. It's got a guitar power chord, sitars, and an unreal environment in this mix.
It started off almost ambient and took like 15 minutes for anything serious to start happening. That build up is unbelievable, and everything that you have spun has been absolutely mint. Your mixing is great. There were a few moments where I could tell a transition had a minor clash, whether it be with the hats or another instrument. Flow is great, track selection is outstanding. The energy absolutely started exploding past the 45 minute mark, peaking at the last 15 minutes.
This set has banged harder than any other goa set I've ever heard from you. I had no idea oldschool goa had such power! You had a few other sets like your last rhyton shaped series that were super powerful, but this one just takes the cake. Fantastic work, I'm gonna try to listen to your other one today as well. I will review it once I'm finished
Great work!

Hehe, this track is the Hip'ee Haus one, a live version of an ambient work (as far as I know, never heard the original). Very extraordinary track, have it from that compilation which is in the same spirit http://www.discogs.com/Various-Love.../release/237261 . Its not impossible to track it through the internet, for a reasonable price, check it!

Well, I am very happy that you felt exactly what I wanted to infiltrate into the mix. The slow build until you are reaching the temple and then, when you see it, to lose your mind and reason from its size and beauty (my image ). Mixing in both of the mixes is not the best but as an excuse I have to add that this music is VERY hard to mix without a minor clash, or melodies crossfading relentlessly. Its great that you find it not disturbing, that was my plan.

I don't know what it is, but these 2 mixes keep freezing/crashing my iTunes... I can't figure out why, but the end result means I am unable to listen to them right now. |
Hm, strange... I dont use iTunes so I dont have any idea why this occurs.
