omg! this set is so fkin awesome, why the hell nobody praised it yet?
I am totally into it, it is a perfect journey. Builds so beautifully, the tracks are VERY carefully picked. Killa as a long intro, then comes Li Kwan, which really is a great track for this set. At 12 min the track is so beautiful, that I already knew where you're taking me And the transitions are brilliant... I am usually a bit harsh about it, but not here. I think in technical point of view this is the best set done with decks I've heard on TA. I mean it! You really enjoy all that melody/key matching. And you brought it to perfection. Besides that, I'm pretty sure you were messing with eq (maybe looping too?) from time to time and the outcome was cool! I only don't know what you were trying to do at 28 minute, cutting highs.
I didn't know a few tracks, for example Keenan & Dale Anderson track. It suited so well where you played it. Come on, the set is programmed flawlessly. Transitions are long, blend is perfect. I truly enjoyed the track selection, loving Leama & Moor productions. 10/10
I'll give it another couple of listens and who knows, maybe I'll change my vote to 11/10
oh btw. my friend enjoy your set as much as I do, he's currently jamming to it in the car

Got this one a while back and have listened to it many times.
I feel like a can't add much to what your trying to do with this mix and my comments will only be personal opinions rather than helpful feedback, but here goes.
This mix reads to me like a modern day classics mix. The tracks aren't all very new or original. They are tried and true beauties. In that respect, I don't think there is anything out there quite like this atm. Sure, many have intro'ed with Killa, and many have played all of the rest, as they are all very good examples of the genre. As I browse the track list i get the impression of a "best of the best" mix. Not a bad thing at all.
The flow is very good as well. But...
I'm just kinda unimpressed with the progression. I hear "Innocent Thoughts" come in, one of my favorite songs of all time and all I can think is "yeah this is another good song". This leads me to my biggest complaint about the mix. The lack of originality. The lack of a unique journey. I very much appreciate your excellent taste of tracks but overall the mix didn't bring me to a new journey, a new experience. It's a collective of some of the greatest trance tracks of the modern era, but it is not something unique in and of itself. But I still had a great time listening to it. lol. So I'm probably being a bit harsh, idk.
Overall, this is a superb, pristine mix. Chock full of top-notch tunes mixed with impecible flow and precised execution. I absolutely love every track in here. The main con for me is the lack of personality or unique feeling that I am always searching for (don't get me wrong mate, it's not an easy thing to obtain).
Cheers and thanks for the wonderful mix.

Hey Metatron, I get your point there with the kind of tracks I used for the mix. It is true that most of them are well known and played songs.
I knew that I was not going to Impress TA's with the tracklist, on the other side, most of the people that I have gave this mix, have not listen to any of this songs before, so I didn't mind at all to make a mix full of this "Modern Classic" songs, for people that I know wouldn't know them.
My main goal was to show my mixing skills as this is my first CDJ Mix, and make it with flow.
You seem to be comfortable with my mixing, so I am glad for that, as it was the main purpose of the mix.
Thanks for your comments and for listening also
Cheers
