WICKED WICKED WICKED
Viele Danke
ok, here is the englisch version... I am waaaaaaaaaaaaay better in explaining it in this language
last saturday I went clubbing in Germany... do it often... much nicer then in my neighbourhood ....(for those who now: last saturday I was @ zak in Uelsen )...
great time (no surprise ), but on the way home I drove a.... euhm..... well let's say I drove a little bit too hard
than: FLASH, some stupid speedtrap caught me in the act... so I was wondering, how much are speeding tickets in Germany? Maybe you guys now a site where I can see a survey.
And from what I know speedtrapdevicers/searchers are forbidden in Germany.... can you tell me how much it'll cost if you get caught (we have one but I removed it because I know this rule.... silly me)
and: is it possible to protest against a ticket? in holland for example you can ask if the stuff is measured well.. usually it ain't and with a bit of luck you don't have to pay for the ticket... is this possible in Germany and if so: where can I send it to and where can I get one of those protestpapers
....DAMN, that speedtrap was NOT fun... (it's about to ruin a month or 2 partymoney )
thanx in advance, and sorry for this NONEtrance topic

jeah radar detectors are illegal and afaik there are high money pays for this and u get (u now because ur not from Germany) "Punkte in Flensburg" means u get into the "Verkehrsregister"....
About the amount of the pay i don´t really now anything, because I only drive below the speed limit....
ok, this might sound strange, but I had expected a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay higher price... I always thought tickets where higher in Germany... in holland I would have to pay at least € 100 and I thought that I maybe had to pay € 150 or something...
PHEW
(I drove, I can tell now, 80 where you are 50 allowed... it was in the middle of the night and I personally think that it that was not too fast.... )
by the way: IMO it is VERY hard to figure out how fast to drive.... I mean: those boards you pass when you drive into a town are overlooked really easy (especially when you are a little bit dull in your head after some banging partying )
still... first ticket in 19 years... gonna be a shame ...and not even caught in the ticketgetting jungle called holland but in the land of unlimited speed Germany... how ironic...
edit:
so it's a good thing to leave the radardetector out... because you need quite a few tickets to outrun one of those I see in the overview now....
note: in holland the ain't forbidden (yet)....which is a VERY good thing

ok.. 30km/h too fast ist pretty close too getting your license suspended in germany though..
yes, i know it is hard to overlook the yellow town signs..
and yes, a lot of times, there are radar traps just to placed to produce revenue

30 aye.. hmmm in holland it's fifty... good thing to know
and it is NOT hard to OVERlook the yellow town signs... it's easy to overlook them (I believe we had a little miscommunnication here, I mean that if you are not used to the yellow signs (in holland these are blue) you tend to miss them... o well)
and we agree that there are radar traps just to produce revenue... in holland we have ALOT of them (5 in a few kilometres or something like that... each giving you a ticket of 30 euro when you pass them with 87 km/h instead of 80 )
I forgot: thank you guyz for helping me (and sharing some thought )
