Planisphere - Solarism (Album)

According to trance.nu it will be released later this year with new planisphere tracks presenting a "new" sound.
http://trance.nu/v3/news_show.php?id=3507

this is just my opinion, but i hope he doesnt take planisphere the same direction as airwave, because i didnt like his new airwave stuff as good as the old stuff. anyways, hope this is good, has anyone heard any tracks off this yet or any new planisphere tracks?

just checked out his forums too, seems to be overrun by spam, haha wtf. i also think there was an interview on trance.nu sometime in february where he said he was starting this new album back then i guess.

Very much looking forward to this, Planisphere being his best alias IMO. I do share your hope he doesn't change direction too much.

SOLARISM , sounds huge. I'm very optimistic, i think he will come up with some fresh banging music. Trilogique was amazing imo, one of the best melodic albums ever! I really liked Airwave in the past but at one point, two years ago or so, he started to put out awful tunes and remixes, i guess i he was too busy complaining about piracy etc. However, with Trilogique he sort of reinvented himself under the Airwave guise, it felt like a bit of comeback. If he can transpose this positive energy to the Planisphere project i'm sure we soon will be listening to some heavy Planisphere-beats.

I don't have big hopes. Planisphere used to be one of my favourite L-Vee aliases releasing quality tune one after the other. O, Ozone, Moonshine, Deep Blue Dream, Totem, Hosanna and the extreamly underrated remix of Joker Jam - Innocence which IMO is so much better than PvD's remix.

Since the Airwave alias really dropped in quality and the latest album was full of boring fillers it would be sa d to see the Planisphere album go in the same direction.

But one should never say never. Let's hope L-vee was reasonable and accepted some of the criticism which came with the Airwave album.

Actually he got more positive than negative reactions so he's very happy and determined to continue this sound...
As the interview says it will be a "new" sound with planisphere too; I'm curious

I like both L-Vee's older & newer sounds (maybe the older slightly more )

He just completed a triple album and now he's got a new one coming out already? Isn't this all a bit too much? It's no wonder the quality keeps dipping with this kind of rate.

Well if you compare the reactions when I Want To Believe it's no secret that that one was praised by everyone and his recent album was a 50/50. Either a hit or miss.

I keep saying it, although it seems my criticism falls on deaf ears... don't edit the tracks and I might be interested. If it's a 6 minute track to begin with (or 4, even) then that's fine. But don't take an 11 minute track and cut it in half so you can fit more songs on the album.

Couldn't agree more...!Lawrence under his planisphere alias had released some amazing (realllyy looonggg) tunes in the past. Beautifull ambient melodies, pianos and stuff...let's hope that it will be good.

E.g. Wow, dissection and "storm of the light's bane" or something right?I used to think (back in my black/death/gothic metal days) that Dark Tranquillity were the best coming out from the swedish "melodic"(death) scene though... he he
