What's in a name? Even at just twenty three, James Talk is on the fast track to high places. He knows how to open doors. When wunderkind James Talk opens his mouth, people listen. And when he makes music, it gets heard.

Back in 2004 the twinkly progressive melodies on 'Beef Curtains' and 'Eggs are Cute' pricked up the ears of James Zabiela and Sasha. Fast forward to 2006 and Talk's acidic electrohouse has made him the apple of Pete Tong's eye (he also collaborated with Tong on a Wally Lopez remix last summer). He's also making himself understood in German -- expect to see a new release from Talk and Audiofly ('Cool Wet Grass') on Get Physical this summer.

Talk's also been bending the ear of the guys at Nascent as he's muscled his way into mixing the second edition in their 'Thinking Out Loud' series. The first edition was a double CD of progressive breaks and house mixed by Steve Gerrard. This time 'Thinking Out Loud 2' sees Talk carefully choosing his words on just one disc.

Like Talk's recent productions 'Love That Acid' and his remix of the Buick Project's 'At the Rave', 'Thinking Out Loud 2' big up party electrohouse (Mark Knight), squelching acid lines (Izit) and funky bass (Claude Von Stroke) in between murmurs of house. The mix also contains two of Talk's own cuts, one a collaboration with Dave Robertson, from his Spoken Recordings imprint.
