I went and checked his liveset out at Ultra 2011 just so I wouldn't be a hypocrite when I said I despised everything about Skrillex.

Music-wise it was one of the worst experiences of my life. So awful, no structure to the set whatsoever, just highpass, WOMPWOMPWOMPWOMPWOMP, highpass, WOMPWOMPWOMPWOMPWOMP, lame high-pitched vocals with a highpass, WOMPWOMPWOMPWOMPWOMP. I honestly think it took years off my life.

I've seen Skrillex a couple times. I like some dubstep. First time I thought it was pretty cool. Different stuff and a lot of energy in the crowd, I stuck around for awhile, it felt a lot more like a metal concert than anything. 2nd time I left pretty quickly. He plays the same freggin set where all the songs are pretty similar. I actually was bored. The songs are just so slow. Everyone just stands there waiting for the "drop", then they mosh around when it finally comes. I found it all very cheesy and obvious....it gets old fast. Not to mention the crowd is pretty

Hopefully it won't be a shit show like the one they had at the coliseum. They separated the main floor which was the field, and the seats with fencing and people ended up jumping the fence. I guess we shall see..

Ended up booking a room at the Courtyard which is 3 miles from EDC. Originally wanted the Shearton but everything was booked. Anyone else getting a room for the night?

we booked a suite friday - sunday night at the homewood suites in rutherford. only ran like $450ish a night for 2 bedroom/2 bath so it's not bad at all between a few people.
