I think the feeling of LA/Vegas is definitely part of the branding of "EDC". The "experience" is part of what they are selling. But you seem to be missing the point. They already have a name for themselves besides EDC, using the name to capitalize is boring.

Your right I don't care, because just because YOU have the luxury of going to vegas doesn't mean everyone does and why should they be any less deserving of getting the same experience (or as close to the real experience as they possibly can)?

I said before that I thought it was funny that people thought that this was going to be cheaper than Electric Zoo. My EZ early bird was $219 after fees for a 3 day that included transportation. This will be probably over $150 after fees for 2 days and no transporation. And I'd wager that for me, the lineup will be worse and there will not be 4-5 stages going at once.
