I've never gotten VIP @ Pacha, actually (maybe like, once). I rarely go there so I don't know their staff, promoters or anyone.

How about we get a group going and get a VIP table- and all split the cost of the bottles. I have no idea what the specifics are and if there is a limit to a table/bottles. Ohh well just a thought.

Pacha really is a clusterfuck but its like Disneyworld for degenerates- and who doesnt like Disneyworld. Just be on point before you find yourself catching a seat in the chinese mafia section.

LOL.

Count me out from bottle service, I'm not going to stay @ Pacha the whole night and I'm not really a drinker, so it's not really worth it to me to drop a couple hundreds for a couple of hours. I honestly don't think Pacha is going to be that bad that night though, it really depends on which DJ is playing.

I have to agree with this statement though.

I saw Digweed in 09 at pacha and the crowd was totally different than your typical crowd over there. There was no douchebagarry that night, everybody was mature and music driven...pretty much Diggers following.

What you don't want to drop 300 bucks to go to Pacha...lol ok it was just a thought, I myself wouldnt be able to stay in VIP anyway since ill need to be in the mix downstairs. I actually dont mind Pacha really find it quite entertaining- I agree its all about the DJ.

Haven't heard this mix entirely yet but so far so good....

Exactly. I swear I was very surprised when I went to the Cadenza Vagabundos night, it was pretty awesome. I made my No-Pacha exception just because I love Luciano that much. People were in typical vagabundos' costumes, there were makeup stations in the mezzanine... One big freakshow that I absolutely LOVED. The place was overrun by the techno people, the same people I see at reSOLUTE and Blk|Market. Since then I gave Pacha another chance for a DT night and was not disappointed either. TBH I've never had a bad night there, just little things that bothered me but have moved past it all since.

Speaking of Luciano... IT'S CADENZA WEDNESDAY, BITCHES! 2nd episode by Mendo is up now

For those of you looking for something to do tonight, my good, super talented friend Dave Martin from DC is playing tonight @ Bar 13 @ 10 pm. Come by for some drinks and some proper techno Also playing is Carlos Castano, who closed out for Cari Lekebusch recently and was pretty damn good (Cari is def not an easy act to follow). Residents Matias Jofre and K1W1 always throw down too, should be a good night. I'll be there dancing my ass off, so come say Hi

There's a fresh mix of Dave's I'll be posting once it goes up on Clubbers Guide NY (in a couple of hours) so you can check him out

Luciano doesn't exactly play techno anymore, but he still has that very distinct balearic, summery island sound that you can find with any Cadenza artist and with a lot of Spanish techno. Nothing out of control for the technodorks though, but fun, bouncy beats.

I'll post some Luciano sets that are pretty epic when I'm around my computer In the meantime listen to episode 001 of the podcast, it's pretty good. Look up on soundcloud some Vagabundos mixes from 2009/2010, I know they're there and they are pretty awesome

DCR075 - Drumcode Radio - Alexi Delano Guest Mix by Adam Beyer on Mixcloud

I really liked Alexi's set at Highline. I remember he started with some nice "softer" techno, then went into tech house and then started banging out harder techno.

I really enjoy sets like that where you have some "flow" to a set like an "adventure" instead of just banging hard stuff for 3-4 hours straight.

Variety within range is what i like.

He played a killer set @ Blkmkt's NYE2012 party with Kondrad Black as well.

Nice, I'm listening to the drumcode you just posted and so far i like it. Do you have a dl link somewhere?

Alexi def. killed at highline, Ive always been a big fan of his. I agree with Seb- prefer to be taken for a trip musically/mentally- rather than getting hit hard right off the bat. Need some variety, too hard banging sometimes feels like a headbanging rock concert after a while.

Whats the deal what are people doing this wknd?

Friday- Im thinking of going to Twice as proper party @ Boom, and maybe after checking Dadub@ NU.
