Note I didn't talk about productions but dj sets I know of a few djs that play a different sound from their usual sound for productions. Maya did play a pretty awesome set that I shook my ass to all night. Lee doesn't really do that to me, esp that Saturday night I saw him @ Good Units recently, he had his moments but nothing notable, at least to me.

And yes, RA sets are def not party sets. I liked Maya's Essential Mix better for sure.

First of all, that mix from my boy Craft is TITS, I've heard it like 5 times already and love it. Just put it on my phone too

Next weekend is a big one for me, I have Dave Martin coming in from DC to play a couple of gigs, one at Bar 13 on Wednesday and he's playing the Twice as Proper party @ Boom on Friday, you should come! We are hitting Underground for Da Dub @ 4. Saturday the plan for me is Woolford and Hot Natured.

Of course, it's his party! You should def come, you'll like Dave a lot too, the boy is on FIRE. Shadi plays more tech house but it's always good and the vibe is awesome at Boom. It's an italian restaurant so ppl go for a late dinner and stay for the party which starts at 12.

It's a good one to make it out to as well, it's going to be a special one for them. It's Derek Marin's birthday and he's playing as well. Derek is a very talented local producer with many releases on quite a few labels (with remixes on Smut Music, Sleaze Records' sister label and Fade, Chris Fortier's label just to name two), and he's been featured recently on Siopis's new compilation that is pretty awesome. They're also celebrating Craft's first EP release "The Bitch I Love" (on Beatport on Monday ), which also includes a remix by Derek, prob my favourite from the EP- they're all great though, def a record worth checking out.

It's never too early to get excited for the sweet Cadenza sounds Been looking forward to seeing Reboot around here for a while now and I missed Robert Dietz a couple of months ago...
Perfect time to get some Cadenza too, I don't think I'd enjoy it as much in the middle of the winter.
