Dude, I'm gonna have to stop taking these. I fucking rage at every little thing! I went off on a coworker for asking a question. It was stupid ass hell but I normally wouldn't do that. My supervisors like calm down dude lol.

I told a fat bitch in a scooter at wal-mart to get the fuck out of the way. I don't know if it's a blessing or curse! lol

Posted by LAdazeNYnights on Mar-29-2012 02:54:

Full disclosure: I actually did watch it last night. I understand that you liked it, but it just wasn't for me. I completely disagreed with it's assumptions and conclusions, but I suppose that's in my nature. I could see how someone like yourself, all pumped up for the apocalypse and whatnot, might really identify with those same ideas with which I disagreed.

I felt that most of the characters were typecast and couldn't help but be annoyed by how everything about the movie was gratuitous: from the violence, to the rape, to the flexing of abdominal muscles. I understand that the ending was supposed to be super depressing or whatever, but I just found it to be farcical. It's been done before, countless times, and far more effectively.

I award your favorite movie 1.5/5 stars.

trailer finally out. Full release June 5.

Safety Not Guaranteed

based on the meme from a couple of years ago http://wiki.ytmnd.com/Safety_Not_Guaranteed

I highly recommend this film. You may be surprised how good it is.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Mar-29-2012 03:50:

as for Hunger Games ... I passed on it.

saw 21 Jump Street (7.5/10) and Silent House (5/10). 21 Jump Street was a lot funnier than I expected. I laughed out loud in a couple of scenes. As for Silent House, I only went to see it for Elizabeth Olsen. She's my "it" actress at the moment.

Saw this the other day. This instantly gets my vote for "Badass Movie of 2012". I don't care about any badass action movies that come out later this year.

your friendly Public Service Announcement. The Raid: Redemption opens this weekend.

So, I finally saw The Boy in Striped Pajamas, and I thought it was good! I have a few problems re: the actual facts of the plot/characters and the abundance of English accents, but I decided to see through the "faults" and watch the movie without them in mind.

I'm glad I was able to do that.

Anyways, looking forward to The Raid: Redemption. I'm gonna have to bring a change of boxers to the theater.

Though it’s distinguished by pulse-pounding suspense, a Crayola-bright palette by cinematographer Michael Chapman (Taxi Driver), and trenchant observations about education in the Bush I era, the film’s emotional center is Schwarzenegger’s gruff yet good-tempered interaction with a class full of precocious scamps, including a tumor-forewarning death-obsessive and a genitalia expert. By leavening a children’s film with enough violence to please even the most cold-hearted bastard, director Ivan Reitman shows that he refuses to color inside the lines.

This was that Argentine movie I had asked you retards about.

Phase 7

Tonight I caught Jiro Dreams of Sushi in theaters.

I'm so glad that I did. If you're into sushi, see this. If you're interested in japanese culture, see this. Even if you just find the idea of a 85 year old guy so committed to excellence that work for him really is a 'labor of love', see this. The documentary was sort of mesmerizing - my friends girlfriend confessed to us afterward that she'd expected to nap during the film but instead found herself so rapt that she forgot about her popcorn for the first 30 minutes of it. The musical score was excellent (a lot of philip glass compositions) and the cinematography helped to paint the sushi not just as 'delicious' but as 'beautiful' as well.

The one downside to this one: I'd been planning on getting ramen and a beer at my favorite local sushi joint later tonight. Instead, I went early and spent some 60 dollars on sushi.

Speaking about movie documentaries... I can't remember how I came across this, but I saw this a couple days ago and to be honest I really enjoyed it. Tells the story of the main Elmo puppeteer, and about puppeteers in general. I LOVED Sesame Street as a kid and this brought back some good memories, as well as alot of PLUR. Great movie if you want to feel the love.

stating the obvious: john carter blows donkey kong's rancid cock.

somehow bunch of my stoner buddies thought it would be a wicked good idea to get shitfaced and then see something in 3D. John Carter was the only one available.

Whoa. If you're ever stoned and want to get sober quickly, few minutes of John Carter should do it. What an enormous hunk of shit.

I don't think I have a frame of reference to compare it to, but I would say it is hovering somewhere close to the absolute 0 of all time. I don't have any fucking clue how the hell Disney allowed this shit to be made, let alone spend so much fucking money on it.

Watching flies fuck would have been more entertaining, imo.
I would have walked out if I wasn't the designated driver.. ffffffuuuuuuu

horrific.

haha it looks pretty cheesy :P is the movie really that bad? even fucking avatar was worth it for the pretty 3d trees and clouds and shit..

Watched Carnage the other day. Some old guy, Kate Winslet, Jodi Foster and John C Reilly are argueing for 1,5 hrs. Absolutely wonderful!

Watched MILF, Barely Legal and Sex Pot. The first two were preeeetty bad, and the third one two, but I'd recommend sex pot just because it has some good luls. Kinda like a chinese knock-off of Harold & Kumar or something. Inebreation is a requirement though. It's a movie after all, not a film.

An American Carol. Chris Farleys brother plays a Michael Moore character who get's visited by the three ghosts of patriotism or something. Leslie Nielsen, Kelsey Grammar + Mohammed Hussein. Worth it for the commentary, although they do maybe lean toward 'pro USA no matter what' and some of the logic is kinda flawed, but there are loads of stupid gags so yeah... I dunno.. I lold.

The Raid = The Raid:Redemption?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1899353/

If so then it's 2011, and will have been beaten by Hobo with a Shot Gun for most Badass Movie of the Year.

But yeah, can u confirm or no? Was the only The Raid I could find on IMDB.

There was an absolute zero redeeming quality to the movie. Ok, maybe 0.0000000000001% is in order simply because of glimpses of the cleavage and ass of the lead female charater - whatever her fucking name was. But she was so photoshopped, she looked like a live doll, rather than real female. She didn't need it either, as you can see:

NSFW

Tho, I wish she was in bare form in the movie, would have made it more watchable, for sure.

And the John Carter character couldn't be more 1 dimensional, even if he tried. I think a soaking wet cardboard cut out of him could do a better job acting than that useless dolt.

Avatar, for all its flaws, was pretty fucking awesome from FX standpoint. I went to see it in 3D and my only regret was that I waited so long that by the time I wanted to see it again stoned, it was already out of the movie theaters.

The dragon flight scenes and jungle shit was pretty epic. My goal was to load up some awesome psy/chill on my mp3, noise isolating headphones, and a fat spliff before hand - shame I only got to do it in my home movie theater. I actually have a pretty decent set up in my "home movie theater" - 120" projection screen, Epson 1080p projector, 7.1 surround - Avatar, though sadly not in 3d is the shit to test your hifi system out.

For all it's cheesiness and stupid carribean accent and fugly cat-like creatures resembling Indians if they were from Ethiopia, it had eye candy to spare, which in my book is a good entertainment, albeit not much on substance. If you try not to ponder it too much, it's actually very enjoyable flick.

Oh, and that panther thing was bad-fucking-ass, def deserves its own spin-off like Alien vs Predator or some shit.

it was released in Austrailia, New Zealand, and Indonesia first globally a couple of weeks ago. Movie first made it's rounds in film festivals in late 2011, and was a smash hit in every one.
