Grandma's boy was perfectly cast. I think a major reason it didn't fail is because of that.
Still, for an Adam Sandler production (thank God he wasn't in it), it's surprising how many people have never even heard of it.
Yeah true.
Phone's for you - I think it's the devil.
lolololololol
Hey J.P., how much do clothes cost in The Matrix?
lololololol
I saw Grandma's Boy when it came out, and thought it was brah humour.
Well you're obviously much more refined than we are.

I'll give it another shot, then. I ended up liking Mr. Deeds, but mostly because of Steve Buscemi.
As long as we're talking about classics, I will also suggest The Party, and The World of Henry Orient - both starring Peter Sellers. So funny!
And anything starring the Marx Brothers. Groucho Marx is the king of all insults!

Yeah well don't let that fool you, I'm still an ass.
The Dead (2010) is sort of an old style zombie movie, except set in Africa. Not perfect but it's paced fairly well and doesn't have a lot of cheesy computer-effects, which is also a nice change.
I also really like zombie movies so its a bit hard to be unbiased

| Originally posted by Adam420 no those are good recs since they're not obvious. IDK about the last one as I'm not a huge McBride fan. In Bruges looks good - DLing. The Guard I was checking out a couple of weeks ago and was kind of on the fence becasue of some mixed reviews on IMDB, but it can't hurt and Don Cheadle is pretty awesome. |
just got finished watching "Castaway on the Moon" (via Netflix) Crazy movie about a guy who can't pay his bills, jumps off a bridge and ends up on a desert island. There's quite a few twists and turns, and is overall a pretty unique movie. Definitely watch it!!
Not that every movie I watch is good, but some late night flicks that might be worth considering: Garden Party & On the Doll. W/ Garden Party being the better of the two. On the Doll is borderline wtf but not intense enough to make into that thread =)
Rampart with Woody Harrelson
real good acting and camera work
the only flaw is the ending
Finally got around to watching 'A Separation'. Highly recommended. I didn't read much about the movie before watching it, which I think worked in my favor. Also, the trailer doesn't give away all that much of the plot (which is a real joy).
nice trailer
