anyone def. going to see xhin tomorrow night? I got a Yankee game but hoping I wont be beat after my long day and then the game. I found xhin to be a little different then what I usually like but have a feeling that you have to be out and about to really appreciate it, the NU seems like the perfect spot for that actually.

I've had a really awesome spring and early summer. I'm considering taking the next few weeks off from going out to focus on my bank account stress relief and focusing on my own music projects. The back 2 back 2 back hangover weekends have not helped productivity

that was actually 6 hrs, if my memory serves me well. bc he certainly didnt get on before 12 and bunker surely didnt go past 6. what a kick ass party that was and a kick ass time im looking forward to, again.

07-01-2010 | speedy j @ bunker NYC | 9 hour set by jochempaap

9 hours here, but it's really just ambient for the first hour.

Wow...

Strong potential for party of the year IMO

Posted by lounger540 on Jul-07-2011 21:49:

edit: Brad already swapped flyers

edit2: If I respond to you in a previous post, will it break the time/space continuum and result in the internet collapsing into a singularity?

Def not techno, but still highly recommended. Unless you hate disco (and lots of the techno ppl do). Personally, I can't seem to be getting enough of it. I'm really digging the sound for the summer

so how family friendly is Frolic? I was thinking of taking my niece and just hanging in the back since I practically raised her on all kinds of funky music, she would dig it but just wondering if the vibe is cool for kids? I dont plan on being in front of the dj booth with her but just wanted to get others opinions who have gone in the past.

Bring!!!, If I have time in between a wedding and an evening party I'm gonna head over there and bring my son too.

Posted by Chaska on Jul-09-2011 05:28:

Check out the roll call for Frolic, they are still needing volunteers, so if you have the time and are willing to donate a couple of hours of your time for a great cause, PM me by tomorrow at noon or hit me up on FB. They still need some people for cleanup and a couple for during the event. You'll be thanked with this year's t-shirt and free admission to the afterparty @ Bar 13 (which Stacey Pullen is also playing).

Frolic was a cool vibe for the little time I got to chill there, Im assuming the cops shut it down early probably because people were drinking. It seems real dumb to me that a positive event with kids and people chilling and dancing has to be shut down for some"public" drinking- I mean most people had the decency to have it in plastic cups at least. Anyway thanks Chaska for the suggestion was a good time while it lasted.

lol i provided that link to you a long time ago...to be exact, it was a chris liebing performance.

btw, make a note of this and keep this date FREE bc you will NOT want to be anywhere else other than...

The Bunker, featuring Speedy J for an 8 hr set on Aug.5. I've sure you've heard the speculation about it already...I'm just adding more hype to it..and you know that saying, never have expections and you won't be disappointed...yea well, not with this event- there CANNOT be enough hype with this man on the decks

but before that, check out claude von stroke for some serious funk!!

ohh it was you that give me that link lol...its brought me hours of listening pleasure thanks for that. That speedy j party sounds like its going to be crazyyyy, I usually shy away from BK parties but Im going to have to make the trip out for this one- Im probably not even going out anytime before then so Ill have nothing but built up energy for this- we gotta hang if we both go, barring any crazy shit that life throws at us.

Posted by edubbz on Jul-15-2011 17:20:

yea man, def gotta come and join the debauchery thats going to occur on that given night..meeting with ppl there from the board so you'll bump into some familiar faces and meet new ones for sure.

i gotta admit tho, last time it was pretty intense & packed...i can only imagine how much worse its going to be bc of how sickk the previous one went down- ho wells, just bring a ventilator bc there isnt any downstairs lol

That lineup is a beast of lineups, love Simon Baker and Andrea Ferlin. Make it point to def check out Connie and Elon, Connie KILLED it last week @ the Frolic afterparty.

I'm in the DC area, so won't be making this. Going to Secretsundaze today at a mansion and then Ana Sia @ the Warehouse

Yes, it is. The one that I saw for this is a picture of his head, split into left & right sides. I haven't seen any mention of who's playing, though.
