I just watched Carrie.
In a few minutes I'm going to watch The Slammin' Salmon.
Let's see if it brings the lulz.
I heard not so great things about Funny People when it was released, and stumbled across it the other night. Absolutely loved it. So funny, and Adam Sandler was likable for the first time.
I don't know about that. I found Sandler's character to be a cockbag at various times.
His character was supposed to be a dicknose, and he was, but the way he did it made me like him. At least more than his fingernails on chalkboard act he usually puts out.
Did you really think I didn't understand that the character was supposed to be a dickhead? Really?
Nope, just thought you were saying you didn't enjoy his character.

so we were talking about 'A Serious Man' a couple of days ago, and figured i should watch 'The Man Who Wasn't There', since I haven't seen the film unfortunately (another Coen brothers film).
The Man Who Wasn't There
holy shit. what a movie. i recommend this film to everyone. moved up to my list as one of my favorite Coen brothers movies.
Guys, what do you think, could The Island be one of the most underrated movies of the last couple of years? Sure, it was not an intellectual masterpiece, it's a Michael Bay production after all, but notwithstanding, I remember having a great time watching it in the cinema - great action, an interesting Matrix'esque premise, Scarlett fucking Johansson and a great soundtrack:
I think it definitely deserves more praise.
Edit: Speaking of islands, if LOST is gonna end anywehere similar to this I might very well cream my pants. It's cheesy as fuck but at this point it's all about ending it EPICally. Substitute the MIB with the black dude and the couple with Kate+Sawyer/Jack.
I think you are very, very wrong.
Fair enough, I might have to watch it again
I wouldn't if I were you

watching Red Cliff right now. I'm on the second movie already. I'm loving this! It's so epic and some of the battle scenes are spectacular. And huge!
An Education is a very good film. Commendable performances all around. And Carey Mulligan is easy on the eyes. Hot little bitch.
I recommend.
Finally watched 2001 Space Odyssey. I only have one thing to say... HALL!

Not sure if anyone recommended this yet but I just watched Hard Eight.
It was one of Paul Thomas Anderson's first films. Great stuff.
FAO: those looking for a nice mystery suspense thriller movie
Watched the movie "Män som hatar kvinnor (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo)"
don't worry English speaking friends. The movie is dubbed in English for those who don't speak Swedish.
the movie is based on the Millenium trilogy by Stieg Larsson. Unfortunately, I have not read the books, but by judging from the film, pretty good content if you ask me. Although the movie is a grueling marathon(2 1/2 hours) with a slow buildup, I say it paid off at the end.
Also interested in this movie, because all 3 books have been released to movies last year. wow pretty quick.
// edit
goddamn Hollywood and their grubby hands. An American version of this movie will be released in 2012.
Why does that film have two titles? The Swedish title literally translates to Men who hate women.
